Sweden and Singapore Forge New Partnership with Memorandum of Understanding
This week, Swecare is organizing a programme for a delegation of Swedish Thought Leaders within Healthcare and Innovation to Singapore. The delegation is engaging with all three public healthcare clusters in Singapore, as well as key research institutes and innovation centers.
A highlight of the week was the Healthcare Symposium, where a Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Miriam Söderström, State Secretary at the Swedish Ministry of Health and Social Affairs, and Wei Lin Lai, Permanent Secretary, Policy and Development of Singapore. This agreement marks a significant step toward enhanced collaboration in health and innovation between our two nations.
Swecare will support the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding by building strong partnerships in health and innovation through different activities within areas expressed as specially prioritized.
This impactful program is organized in collaboration with Business Sweden and Vinnova, aligning with the state visit of H.M. King Carl XVI Gustaf to Singapore.
After the signing, the Healthcare symposium “Empowering Innovation in Healthcare” continued with panel discussions with among others Swecare board member Boubou Hallberg, CEO Sahlgrenska Universitetssjukhuset and Anna Sahlström, Karolinska Universitetssjukhuset.
Together, we are shaping the future of healthcare through innovation and international cooperation.
