Tapper AirPod Strap now available at colette

Tapper Collective, a new leather accessory brand based in Stockholm, just launched at the iconic concept store colette in Paris. Their debut product is an AirPod strap, designed to carry your AirPods around your neck while you’re not using them.

Tapper AirPod Strap comes with brass detailing and a braided leather strap made of premium lamb leather. The shells easily help you attach the Tapper to your Apple AirPods and thanks to the built-in magnets Tapper nicely locks the AirPods together around your neck. All products are handcrafted in Sweden using only the finest materials for that ultimate premium feeling.

The idea for the AirPod strap came when the founders first read about the AirPods and understood that there would be a demand for how to keep track of and use the AirPods in a smart and functional way. ”That's why we decided to design Tapper so that you easily can hang the AirPods around your neck when you're not using them”, says Robin Westlund, CEO and Co-Founder of Tapper Collective.

The brand was founded in September 2016 by the two friends Robin Westlund and Robert Sandmark. They have backgrounds in the fashion industry, specifically high-end accessories and they both have a passion for technology.

”I’ve always been interested in fashion and nice aesthetics. Growing up within the late 90’s, technology and its development was always present for me”, says Robert Sandmark.

Their vision is to create premium leather essentials with an innovative edge. The name Tapper comes from the Swedish word for brave or courageous. Inspiration for the name was derived from Apple's senior vice president, Phil Schiller, saying that the decision to lose the headphone jack wasn't about a wireless future, it was essentially about being brave.

Tapper AirPod Strap is exclusively available at colette in-store, at 213 Rue Saint Honoré in Paris, and online at www.colette.fr. The product will soon also be available in Tapper’s online shop at www.gettapper.com. The product is retailing for 50 EUR and will be released at additional retailers starting in April. Additions to the Tapper product portfolio will be presented during the spring of 2017.
