And the winners of TCS Startup Match 2015 at Slush are…

• At Slush 2015, TCS arranged Startup Match, a pitching competition allowing entrepreneurs to present their innovations to leading TCS customers.
• Fierce battle took place in four categories; Swedish, Finnish, Icelandic and Dutch startups emerge on top.
• Winners get sponsored trips to TCS’ global innovation events in North America, UK or Australia; they are also invited to be part of TCS’ Co-Innovation Network (COINTM).

Helsinki, 17 November, 2015 Tata Consultancy Services, (TCS), a leading IT services, consulting and business solutions organization has announced the winners of TCS Startup Match 2015, the international pitching competition that took place at Slush Helsinki, on 12 November 2015. The startups competed in four industry categories, offering their next generation technologies for Retail, Financial Services, Manufacturing & Industry, and Telecom & Utilities.The jury of TCS Startup Match 2015 consisted of TCS’ clients and TCS’ own specialists. The winners of the Startup Match win the opportunity to pitch to TCS’ global clients at the upcoming TCS innovation events worldwide.

In the Startup Match category Manufacturing & Industry, the jury awarded the top spot to ReVibe Energy, a Swedish company offering its customers a novel way to power sensor systems through turning vibrations into electricity.

In the category of Banking and Financial Services, the top spot went to the Dutch startup qKey, offering simple and user-friendly authentication techniques. The company says that they are the only app-based authentication token that achieves certifiable bank level security.

The winner of the Telecom & Utilities match was Crankwheel, an Icelandic startup that develops an innovative one-to-one screen-sharing SaaS product that allows screen-sharing, for instance, in the middle of a phone call, on any browser, any device, with no installs required.

The winner in the Retail category was LoadBro from Finland, the creators of an internet platform on which all freight transport needs and offerings can be synchronized in real time.

“The level of innovation and creativity is impressive throughout the Nordics, and SLUSH is the hub for the very best of the innovation and next-generation technologies the region has to offer. The level of sophistication of the business ideas that we encountered during the event was impressive,” says TCS’ global Chief Technology Officer, K.
