TCS donates money to leading children's hospital and contributes to a better environment for its child patients

For the seventh consecutive year, TCS makes a significant donation to Astrid Lindgren's Children's Hospital in Stockholm. This year's donation of SEK 175,000 is part of a long-term initiative from TCS to facilitate children's hospitalization by, among other things, contributing to new technical solutions.

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has been the official title sponsor of the Lidingöloppet since 2016. In connection with the race, which was organized in Lidingö, Stockholm, in September earlier this year, TCS is now donating SEK 175,000 to Astrid Lindgren's Children's Hospital. This is the seventh consecutive year that TCS donates a significant amount to the hospital in connection with the race. With this year's donation, TCS has donated over SEK 1.2 million to the hospital.

The donation to Astrid Lindgren's Children's Hospital and the commitment as the title sponsor for the Lidingöloppet are part of the company's social commitment with the aim of contributing to a better society, but also an incentive to promote the health and well-being of its employees.

– We see health and well-being as very important, both for our staff and for society. Contributing as the main sponsor for the Lidingöloppet and donating money to an important cause is something we are extremely proud of, says Avinash Limaye, Regional Manager for TCS in the Nordics.

TCS' previous donations have contributed to the purchase of new interactive technology to create a more exciting and livelier environment for the patients at Astrid Lindgren's Children's Hospital. Among other things, through so-called sound cushions that help children listen to fairy tales and music, and through a specific AV1 robot equipped with a built-in camera, microphone and speaker that enables patients to participate in teaching and socialize with their classmates from their hospital bed.

The donation enables our continued work to ensure that children who are cared for by us do not fall behind in their everyday life with, for example, school lessons and meetings with their surroundings. The annual support from TCS contributes to developing technology and tools that we can then offer to facilitate our patients' hospital stay, says Svante Norgren, Theme Manager at Astrid Lindgren's Children's Hospital.
