The Nordic operator benchmark 2015 expands to mobile, fixed/cable and integrated

In 2013 and 2014, tefficient benchmarked leading mobile operators in Sweden, Finland and Norway against a local peer group consisting of operators from the three countries. The logic behind local benchmarking based on unadjusted, actual, figures is clear. Nordic operators are global leaders within e.g. cost efficiency, productivity, e-channel use, data usage and network quality: It’s pointless for them to be benchmarked outside of the Nordics.

Triggered by the international trend to converge mobile and fixed, the scope of the 2015 benchmark will be expanded to cover mobile, fixed/cable and integrated operators. The country scope is also expanded: Denmark joins!

The 16 operators who are invited to participate are:

• Norway: Telenor, NetCom, Tele2, Get
• Sweden: Telia, Tele2, Telenor, 3, Com Hem
• Finland: Elisa, Sonera, DNA
• Denmark: TDC, Telenor, Telia, 3

Each operator can, depending on business scope, focus and budget, participate in one, two or three of the benchmarks: Mobile, fixed/cable and/or the integrated benchmark.

Deadline to participate is 23 January 2015. The individual results will be available to each participating operator in April. Participants use the benchmark as a tool to understand strengths, identify improvement potential and become more competitive locally.

As previous years, the identities of participating operators are confidential and data (collected as well as calculated) is used solely within the context of the benchmark.
