Power dynamics within the development sector have been under scrutiny for years and advocates for change have long called for the decolonization of aid. The emergence of movements for shifting the power, calling for community-led development and local ownership of development, have breathed new life into the debate. However, little progress has been made to change the structural inequalities between donors and recipients, and to shift the power to local stakeholders.

What are the challenges, dilemmas and contradictions when going from theory to practice? And how long can we wait for a real change in the development sector?

The Hunger Project Sweden and the Movement for Community-led Development invite you to a webinar where we will discuss these issues together with donors, INGOs and local NGOs. Welcome to a discussion on how development can be done differently, and how we can address the challenges and find solutions to shifting the power.
