Thomas Concrete Group delivers to a unique climate-neutral project in Germany

Thomas Beton GmbH, a part of Thomas Concrete Group, has delivered 4,200 m³ of low carbon concrete to Orchideenquartier – one of Germany’s first climate-neutral residential developments.

Orchideenquartier covers a site area of approximately 27,200 square meters, where 25 townhouses and more than 250 apartments are planned to be completed by 2028. The goal is to create sustainable housing through energy-efficient buildings, including renewable, self-generated energy supply, ensuring climate-neutral operation.

Thomas Beton has supplied 4,200 m³ of low-carbon concrete from the THOMAGREEN product line, for piles and structural frameworks.

– Sustainable construction requires collaboration throughout the entire value chain. Together, we demonstrate that ambitious climate targets can be combined with strong business performance, says Thorsten Brinkmann, Sales Manager at Thomas Beton.

The project is an example of how stakeholders across the entire value chain can work together to enable sustainable construction projects.
