TWS Logistics gains two ISO certifications in environmental and quality management

TWS Logistics is now certified according to ISO 14001 and ISO 9001, the international standards for designing and implementing an environmental management system (EMS) and a quality management system (QMS). “These systems help us keep reducing our environmental footprint while consistently providing services that meet customer and regulatory requirements,” says Stein Eidsvåg, CEO of TWS Logistics.

TWS Logistics’ environmental management system consists of policies, processes, plans, practices, and records that define the rules governing how the company interacts with the environment.

Electric vehicles and eco-driving

“We work actively for a more ecologically sustainable society and a transport system better suited to our environment,” says Eidsvåg. “The ISO 14001 certification is a quality stamp that shows that we are serious with our efforts.”
One example of how TWS Logistics care for the environment is that the company is transitioning to electric vehicles and more sustainable fuels. Other examples are that its drivers are educated in so-called eco-driving, and its vehicles follow the Euro 6 standards.

Damage control and continuous improvement

TWS Logistics’ quality management system enables the company to comply with all the specific requirements and regulations within the areas it operates in, regardless of the nature of the goods and what nations it travels through.

And the ISO 9001 certification is the customer’s guarantee that our QMS is top-notch.”
