TWS Logistics incorporates Riksdistribution
Since TWS Logistics acquired Riksdistribution in 2020, the companies have integrated their operations successively, and now, the business will continue under one brand. On February 10, 2023, Riksdistribution will merge into and become a part of TWS Logistics.
In recent years, both companies have had positive development. For instance, TWS Logistics was responsible for large parts of the vaccine distribution in Sweden during the pandemic.
“In 2022, our turnover increased by 40% to about SEK 160 million with good profitability. Now we restructure to become even stronger”, says Stein Eidsvåg, CEO.
The long-term strategy for TWS Logistics has been to increase its presence in the Nordics. With the acquisition of Riksdistribution in 2020, the company could strengthen the coverage around Stockholm, Västerås, Uppsala, Eskilstuna, and Gothenburg.
“Both companies have the same value base with a strong customer focus, so I am not surprised that the collaboration worked so well that we can now carry out a complete incorporation”, says Stein Eidsvåg.
As a bigger brand, TWS Logistics will strengthen its position in complex express deliveries in the Nordics and develop other business areas, for example, just-in-time distribution for retail and express deliveries from Europe.
