  • Hutchison names NEC as 3G device supplier

    he Hutchison Whampoa Group today announced that it has named NEC Corporation as a preferred supplier of Third Generation (3G) wireless devices. Under the arrangement, NEC will begin delivery of its 3G wireless devices in the third quarter of 2002 to Hutchison's 3G operations based in Italy, Australia, Austria, Sweden and the United Kingdom.

  • Hi3G tecknar intentionsavtal med Ericsson om köp av UMTS-infrastruktur

    Hi3G Access har idag tecknat ett intentionsavtal med Ericsson, om köp av UMTS-infrastruktur. Ericsson går också in i ett vidare samarbete om utveckling av strategiska applikationer och tjänster med Hi3G och övriga företag inom Hutchisons 3G verksamhet. Detta är ett viktigt steg för Hi3G mot lanseringen av 3G-tjänster i Sverige.

Ericsson also enters a wider cooperation with Hi3G and companies within the Hutchison 3G group, concerning the development of strategic applications and services.
