Hill Guitar Company launches two True Temperament models at Winter NAMM 2019
Kenny Hill, the world renowned classical guitar builder and founder of the Hill Guitar Company stands for tradition – as well as innovation. For instance: double soundboards, elevated fingerboard, upper-bout sound ports and most recently the Swedish invention True Temperament Fretting System.
Hill Guitar Company is attending Winter NAMM 2019, January 24-27 in Anaheim,CA, and will bring two classical nylon guitar models equipped with True Temperament fingerboards.
His instrument are seen in the hands of many formidable performers: teachers, students, winners of international guitar competitions – from Johannes Möller to Eva Beneke. By the way, it was the first of the two mentioned, Johannes Möller, also Swedish, that introduced Kenny to try True Temperament in the first place.
Here´s a quote from Kenny´s blog of his experience of True Temperament so far (www.hillguitar.com/website/news):
”I am very excited about the overall countenance of the sound that comes out of my True Temperament guitar. This is not a mode, or a different twelve note temperament — it’s good in all keys, it sounds good all the way through my repertoire. And in spite of the wacky visuals it’s not hard to play for the left hand, there is no adapting of technique, that’s just not a problem”.
