Unifaun acquires Transsmart to accelerate the creation of a European market leader within cloud Transport Management

Unifaun, the Nordic leader in cloud Transport Management Systems (“TMS”), is pleased to announce the acquisition of Transsmart Holding B.V., the Netherlands based provider of cloud Delivery Management (“DM”) software to customers across the Benelux region and Germany. For Stockholm-headquartered Unifaun (“the Group”), the acquisition represents an important step in its ongoing pan-European expansion, following a successful launch in Poland 2018.

As a part of the transaction, management owners in Transsmart will become shareholders in the combined Group. With the deal, the Group will reach a turnover exceeding EUR 30 million and employ around 200 people in offices located in Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Norway, Poland, The Netherlands and Belgium.

Following the transaction, the Group will serve over 100,000 customers globally and process around 300 million parcels annually. Its increased scale will allow for significant resources being invested into the development of core services, new functionalities, as well as the next generation of cloud TMS. Existing customers expanding throughout Europe will further benefit from increased coverage of carriers and a wider partner network.
