Unimedic Pharma AB announces new distribution agreement with AcuCort for Zeqmelit® oral film (dexametason) in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and Finland

Stockholm, August 31st, 2023 – Unimedic Pharma AB announced today that Unimedic Pharma has entered into a license and distribution agreement with AcuCort AB for AcuCort’s Zeqmelit® oral film (dexametason) in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and Finland.

Under the terms of the agreement, Unimedic Pharma is granted an exclusive license to import and commercialize Zeqmelit® in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and Finland. AcuCort will remain the marketing authorization holder and Unimedic Pharma will be responsible for commercialization and distribution of Zeqmelit® (dexametason) in these countries.

Zeqmelit®, a rapidly-soluble oral film containing the glucocorticoid dexamethasone combine the benefits of the well-proven substance and the user-friendly mouth film. The active anti-inflammatory substance dexamethasone belongs to the group of glucocorticoids which is a very well-known, well-proven and well-established group of drugs. Glucocorticoids have been used clinically since the 1960s and are prescribed for the treatment in several indications. Glucocorticoids suppress immune reactions and inflammatory processes.
