Exhibition Opening: “Why Design Now?” at Cooper Hewitt in New York

Smithsonian, Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum has now inaugurated the fourth exhibition in the National Design Triennial series. “Why Design Now?” will be on view from May 14 2010, through January 9 2011, and will explore the work of designers addressing human and environmental problems across many fields of design from architecture and product design to fashion, graphics, new media and landscape design.

A team from Ergonomidesign was present at the exhibition opening reception to get a glimpse of three different in-house projects in the key development theme “Health” and other interesting design projects. The selected projects from Ergonomidesign are the bike handles Ergon GR2, the asthma monitoring device NioxMino and Spot, a guide cane for blind people incorporating virtual intelligence.
