Swedish "Passive House" Technology business enters the Chinese market
The WeSwe Group, Gothenburg, Sweden signed a contract to design the first office building with "Passive House Technology" in Harbin, China. Mr Liu Zhaoxin of Heilongjiang Chenergy Real Estate Development Co. Ltd, Real Estate owner commented on the agreement by saying that “The WeSwe Group has assembled a team with the core competencies required for the undertaking of this project”.
Environmental technology cooperation and knowledge exchange between
China and Sweden in the field of urban development has gained momentum during
the past five years. The collaboration on “Swedish Environment and Green
Technology” has now evolved into a new phase where further cooperation is about
to start. "We are very proud of the professional relationship with Harbin.
This project will be a forerunner to a more long-term strategic cooperation
plan for high-performance sustainable engineering in the building sector with
China”, said Mr Rung.
The WeSwe Group believes that sustainable building design requires
extensive engagement from a committed group of consultants. “Each of our
projects is designed to take full advantage of solar orientation, natural
beauty, and accessibility”, said Mr Stefan Pettersson.
Ms Charlotta Berggren of Wikström VVS-Kontroll AB
continues; “Energy savings, adaptation of passive solar design principles and where
appropriate, active solar, wind, geothermal and photovoltaic energy
alternatives are also thoughtfully incorporated into our projects”.
“We have a reputation for excellence in providing award-winning design
solutions. We attribute the ongoing success of our consultant group The WeSwe Group
to innovative, cost-effective solutions designed to satisfy each client's
unique requirements”, said Mr Peter Rung.
"The Chinese market is one of the most significant parts of our 'go
global' strategy. We have been committed for a long period of time to
developing close business ties with clients in China", said Mr Erik
Samuelsson of VBK Konsulterande ingenjörer AB.
The Center for Environmental Technology (CENTEC) coordinates the Swedish
Government’s resources to promote Swedish environmental technology cooperation with
China. The purpose is to support Swedish and Chinese authorities, organisations
and companies to create partnerships and business for sustainable development
and urbanization in China.
“We are very happy that our involvement in promoting
passive houses standards in China has contributed to this business opportunity
between the WeSwe Group in Göteborg and Harbin in China”, says Mr Anders
Wollter, Minister Counsellor at the Embassy of Sweden in Beijing and Head of
CENTEC. “This will be an important pilot and showcase of Swedish excellence.
The opportunities for cooperation, knowledge exchange, sharing of experience
and trade between China and Sweden in environment technology and sustainable
urbanization are huge. Swedish solutions can help increase energy savings and
emissions reductions. We can expect great market opportunities and demand for
Swedish solutions during the next years, following China’s recently launched
national plan for urbanization, as well as the implementation of the 2013 plan
to combat air pollution.”
