A trio of designers shape the year of 2019 for the Swedish design company Zilenzio
Constance Guisset, Norm Architects and Note Design Studio make up the trio of designers who create the news for Zilenzio’s 2019 collection. From Constance, who also designed the Zilenzio Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair exhibition space, comes an almost floating ceiling fixture, Norm Architects has designed a series of seating furniture that is both classic and contemporary in its expression, and Note Design Studio combines workspace qualities and seating possibilities in an inspiring fashion.
– We want to create a more sustainable, peaceful and well-designed surrounding with our ever-growing collection of furnitures, and we do so in collaboration with some of today’s most versatile designers. These are collaborations that make us better, because we never compromise with the sound-absorbing quality and our designers never compromise with the level of design. For us, the journey is as important as the end result, we work with designers who create unique expressions in a sustainable way with high quality. ”Says Marie Lindqvist Pahlstad, CEO of Zilenzio.
A collection of seating furnitures by Norm Architects
For 2019 Zilenzio's collection is expanded by Tune, a series of seating furniture by Frederik Alexander Werner from Copenhagen-based Norm Architects. With Tune, the team at Norm Architects wanted to design a flexible series of furniture that works in public spaces and in people’s home, this is achieved with different fabric choices. In leather, the furniture possesses a classic look and clad in fabric the expression suddenly become contemporary and bold. The design of the straight back and armrest gives the series a significant sound-absorbing effect, which is the trademark of Zilenzio. Tune comes as an armchair and a two- and three-seater sofa.
The floating Delta fixture
Constance Guisset has developed the already existing ceiling sound absorber Delta to a floating fixture. The French designer’s ambition was to create an object that drew the thoughts to kite flying as a child or as if time had stopped falling fruit in the air. Delta is a subtle and light object with thinned out, almost disappearing, edges. Constance has also designed Zilenzio's exhibition space during Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair as place where guests can see and experience Zilenzio's knowledge of sound absorbers.
New seating furniture with an high arched back from Note
Among the news to the collection is also the Focus Podseat from Stockholm-based Note Design Studio. Focus Podseat is a seating furniture with high back and armrest that gives the furniture an encapsulated and intimate ambiance, but also a central sound-absorbing and calming effect to the room. The piece is designed as an holistic experience where screen, bench and work desk become a unit. Regardless of where Focus Podseat is placed in the room, up against a wall or at the centre, it is a functional and elegant piece of furnture.
