Zilenzio launches an acoustic room divider for connection – and the calm people crave

Swedish acoustics brand Zilenzio is an expert in improving work environments. For over 20 years, the brand has delivered high-quality and thoughtfully designed solutions that reduce both noise and visual distractions. This fall, Zilenzio introduces Giro, a new acoustic room divider created with design studio Yonoh. As the way we work and interact changes, Giro is designed not to separate, but to connect. It brings calm, softness, and acoustic balance to shared environments, helping people feel better and work better.

“The idea came from observing how workspaces and social areas have evolved. We no longer just design to separate, but also to connect. We wanted to create a system that brings softness and flexibility to contemporary interiors, breaking away from rigid, linear partitions and introducing a more organic rhythm,” says Alex Selma, designer at Yonoh Creative Studio, and continues:

“Giro merges functionality, acoustic comfort, and design into a coherent whole, creating pieces that are not only useful but emotionally engaging, a balance we always strive for in our work.”

Reduces noise, enhances balance

Giro is a freestanding acoustic panel system designed to define spaces in a fluid and flexible way. Made from highly effective stone wool, it’s built to improve the sound environment while adding softness and balance to any space.

Each element can stand alone or be combined to create larger compositions that adapt to changing needs. The name Giro, meaning “turn”, reflects the soft, gestural movement that defines its distinct form and character.

As Alex Selma explains, Giro’s softly curved edges allow for compositions that feel natural and human, giving spaces a more dynamic presence. By pairing stone wool with textile and wood, Giro achieves excellent acoustic performance in a design with a sense of warmth and tactile expression, balancing technical function with emotional comfort.

Where function, design and sustainability meet

“We’re always looking for ways to help companies create work environments where people feel good and thrive. Now, we’re very excited to be able to offer Giro. It’s a perfect addition to our collection, combining multifunction, design and sustainability,” says Hans Bergström, CEO at Zilenzio.

Giro is ideal for offices, hospitality areas, lounges, schools and collaborative environments – anywhere acoustic and visual comfort are needed. With discreet casters integrated into the base, Giro moves easily to support evolving layouts and needs.

Giro is available from November 4, 2025, through Zilenzio’s broad network of retailers.
