3D company Reliefed Technologies raises 19 million for international expansion

Reliefed Technologies, who has developed a completely new sustainable 3D technology for the manufacturing industry, raises money for increased marketing and sales activities as well as continued technology development. In the share issue of SEK 19 million participating are Almi Invest's Greentech Fund, Midroc New Technology and S-E Banken's Development Fund.

Reliefed's new 3D technology is used in so-called extrusion, a manufacturing method for the production of long profiles in large volumes, where you press or pull a heated material through a forming tool.

Reliefed's 3D extrusion makes it possible to produce significantly more advanced shapes and designs in a cost-effective and sustainable way. The main markets are the building materials and automotive industries, with a focus on volume components in aluminum, plastic, rubber, bio-composites and ceramic materials.

Reliefed's production solution easily upgrades existing extrusion equipment. It enables dynamic extrusion, where the products are also formed longitudinally and not only in the cross-section, while reducing material consumption and streamlining the manufacturing process.

The manufacturing industry represents a significant part of the environmental impact and it is often very challenging to find cost-effective improvements, says Jörgen Bodin, Investment Manager at Almi Invest. Reliefed's production system, which leads to less material consumption, lower energy requirements and retained or improved product design and quality, can provide significant competitive advantages in many ways.

With its ingenious extrusion method, Reliefed enables a higher quality combined with a significant reduction in cost and material consumption, which also makes the company fit well into our portfolio of potential cleantech companies, says Göran Linder, CEO of Midroc New Technology.

The focus of Reliefed in the coming year is to transform ongoing feasibility studies with significant customers into further production agreements and to reach the global market.

Thanks to this investment, we have the opportunity to quickly expand our sales and marketing activities so that more companies catch the eye of our unique 3D technology and the great values it enables, says Mikael Eklund, CEO Reliefed.
