URA picks creative content firm for Marina Bay Singapore Countdown event

The Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) has appointed creative content development company AUX Media Group to produce the annual Marina Bay Singapore Countdown event. The appointment length is for a period of three years, starting from 2021 to 2023. According to URA, the event garners about 500,000 local and international visitors yearly.

The tender was first put up on Gebiz, and saw agencies such as incumbent PICO and SPHERE (subsidiary of SPH) vying for the account. AUX Media Group will be tasked to provide event management services for all events and activities at Marina Bay and the Civic District as part of the Marina Bay Singapore Countdown. This includes securing and managing sponsorships; the fireworks display; managing all partner events at The Promontory at Marina Bay, The Float at Marina Bay and the Bayfront event space. The company will also be in charge of overseeing event security and operations; cleaning and logistics; and marketing and publicity.

To aid AUX Media Group with a portion of its duties, the events management firm has partnered with Asia PR Werkz to manage media relations, drive publicity and develop the event’s social media strategy. APRW said to Marketing that it will not be able to share its strategy at this point.
