Epson Helps Small Business Owners Cut Costs with Smart Technology

- SINGAPORE, September 19, 2017 -

Epson is set to help small business owners further cut operational costs so they can focus on the core issues affecting the success of their business. The solution is the implementation of smart technology that enables businesses to work more efficiently, improves productivity levels and provides competitive advantage over their rivals.

In today’s fast-paced, high-pressure business environment, cost-effective technology is crucial to help organisations move forward. According to the latest National Business Survey 2016/2017 conducted by the Singapore Business Federation, 68 per cent of companies surveyed identified operating costs as the biggest challenge facing their organisations today[1].

Specifically, print emerged as the third highest business operating expense behind rent and payroll[2]. To curb high operational costs for print, Epson’s innovative technology aims to help small businsses cut their paper, print and energy bills – not just at the point of purchase, but through the entire product lifecycle – by developing products specifically engineered to address the concerns of small-to-medium sized businesses.

Ms. Tan May Lin, General Manager, Sales, Marketing and Customer Service Division, Epson Singapore said, “Small changes can make a huge difference in total operating costs for businesses. While Singapore's burgeoning SMEs [Small and Medium Enterprises] are supported by good infrastructure and a supportive government, many of them still need to fork out substantial investments to get their businesses off the ground. At Epson, we want to help SMEs grow without having to worry about high operational costs. For this reason we develop efficient and smart technology to change the way businesses work, to save them time and money, and free them up, so that can focus on their core business needs.”

Today, Epson Singapore launched its new series of compact integrated ink tank system printers that offer one of the lowest printing costs in the market. These new printers are targeted specifically at Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and Small Offices/Home Offices (SOHO).

The L-series printers lets SMEs enjoy ultra-high page yields delivering 7,500 pages of black ink and 6,000 pages of colour that lowers operational costs. The higher-end L6160, L6170 and L6190 printers even come with auto-duplexfor greater paper savings, reducing running costs even further. These printers also feature Epson’s PrecisionCore printhead for high performance, achieving high ISO print speeds of up to 15ipm and 33ppm for draft speeds, and improved business efficiency.

Epson was the first manufacturer to introduce ink tank system printers to Singapore in 2010, and it continues to lead as the number one ink tank vendor, with the widest range of printers worldwide and the largest market share across South East Asia, with over 20 million units sold worldwide since its launch.
