Epson Targets the Rental and Staging Market with The All-new 15,000 Lumens High Brightness Laser Projector

- SINGAPORE, January 31, 2018 -

Epson, the number-one selling projector brand worldwide, today launched the new 15,000 lumens EB-L1755UNL laser projector at an open house event targeting the rental and staging market.

Held in collaboration with The Production People and Acoustic & Lighting System Pte Ltdat Rock of Ages, Epson showcased its wide range of lens options and 3LCD high brightness projector technologies that have enabled the brand to translate its market dominance in the business and education projector markets into the large-scale install sector.

Ms. Tan May Lin, General Manager (Sales, Marketing and Customer Service division) of Epson Singapore said, “The projection landscape continues to evolve as new technologies and innovations become available. Today, projections are used as important communication tools, and industries are increasingly using projection in new applications, particularly for large venue installations. Specifically, the unique character of the rental and staging vertical has a huge potential growth for Epson as we launch more high lumens laser projectors. As a brand, we understand the emotional impact image quality has on projected visuals and we’ll continue to deliver next generation innovations to ensure that we meet the business needs of our customers.”

During the projection open house, Epson conducted a projection shoot out showcasing its range of high brightness projectors with white and colour light outputs ranging from 5,500 lumens to 25,000 lumens. An advanced edge blending application, used to create a seamless, unified image, was also demonstrated using two 12,000 lumens high brightness laser projectors with the latest ELPLX02 elbow lens.

Backed by over 25 years of 3LCD road-tested reliability, Epson’s projectors use a 3-chip, solid-state optical engine to deliver incredibly bright, true-to-life colour, creating an astonishing level of realism with every viewing. In contrast, 1-chip sequential colour projectors use a rotating colour wheel that spins at a rapid speed and displays colours sequentially. For some users, this results in images displaying colour break-up or “rainbow effect,” which can distract from the viewing experience.

Epson projectors powered by 3LCD technology have no colour breakup or “rainbow effect.”In fact, they have up to three times brighter colours and three times wider colour gamut than leading competitive 1-chip projectors.

Epson EB-L1755UNL projector

The new EB-L1755UNL is the most compact 15,000 lumens 3LCD laser projector in its class, which integrates inorganic 3LCD panels with an inorganic phosphor wheel to achieve superior light and heat resistance for spectacular image quality, reliability and durability.

With its laser light source, the EB-L1755UNL projector delivers outstanding levels of colour brightness for extremely long periods, of up to 20,000 hours of maintenance free use, in high quality WUXGA resolution. It also delivers 15,000 lumens of white and colour brightness.

Designed to operate 24/7, the EB-L1755UNL has an improved dust resistance design and are ideal for applications requiring continuous projection, including events, storefronts, museums, digital signage and more. With a laser light source, the projectors reach maximum brightness quickly, in just under 7 seconds.

The projector comes with an operating system that enables easy set-up and control of geometry features for seamless projection, which includes edge-blending, curve projection, corner wall projection, point correction, quick corner and others.

Features of the EB-L1755UNL includes:

  • 4K enhancement technology – viewers can experience the most intricate details. Pixel scaling technology shifts each pixel diagonally by 0.5 pixels to double the resolution to 3840 x 2160, surpassing full HD quality.
  • Auto image calibration – equipped with a built-in camera, the EB-L1755UNL is capable of calibrating and adjusting color, uniformity and white balance automatically.
  • Flexible projection – projector can be rotated 360 degrees in any direction for off-axis positioning, and is fully tiltable for maximum flexibility for installation in any location.
  • Innovative performance features for seamless projection on surfaces include edge-blending, curve projection, corner wall projection, point correction, quick corner and others.
  • Advanced connectivity – projectors come with HDBaseT support and network projection.

Epson ELPLX02 ultra-short throw lens

Epson offers up to 11 different types of lenses which include the latest zero-offset ultra-short throw lens, the ELPLX02 that can display up to 1000 inches in diagonal screen size at an extremely short throw ratio of 0.38. This range of lenses provide maximum flexibility and enables the projectors to be installed in tight conditions, where available space is at a premium.

Additionally, they also come with a remote camera access feature that enables monitoring of the actual projection image with an embedded camera for real-time trouble-shooting.
