High End Resilient Flooring (HERF) in Singapore Homes Today
High end resilient flooring (HERF) come into the Singapore homes since Oct 2010. This type of flooring acts as a strong substitute to traditional laminate and parquet flooring. One great advantage of HERF is that home owners need not worry about things like, forgotten to close windows or anything to keep the flooring away from water. This is because HERF itself is 100% waterproof.
Before HERF, laminate flooring and parquet will commonly seen at homes in Singapore. It enhances the color and design of the home. Laminate flooring gives variety of designs for the home owner thus making living spaces attractive and cozy. However, laminate flooring is often subjected to water damage if it is not taken care well by the owner. HERF remove away all those hassle and trouble.

However, another difference between HERF and laminate flooring during installation is that you does not need any skirting or underlay at all. This made HERF relatively more stable than laminate flooring even though both are installed in a floating manner.
Another reason why HERF is suitable for the home owners is its "silent" solid feel when walked on. Low quality laminate flooring usually will produce a noisy hollw sound when stepped on, especially at night due to the fact that laminate flooring are installed in a floating manner; HERF, on the other hand, is always 'quiet' when stepped on. Home owners therefore could peacefully walk around the house at night without awaking family members with their footsteps.
