High end resilient flooring in modern homes

As society advances, home owners are looking for more creative ways in making their homes modern and keeping up with the trends in terms of style, design and look. Moreover, luxury, easy upkeep and cost efficient also becomes part of the requirement for the new home; and because of that, the demand for good quality high end resilient flooring (HERF) is seen on the rise among the home owners.

Luxurious Wood Looking Flooring

High end resilient flooring emulates the classic grains and color of real wood flooring. Moreover, the patterns of planks are in a random design manner making the flooring looks uniquely wooden. Embossed surfaces help to make the feeling more "wood-alike". And when you stepped on a genuine quality high end resilient flooring, the comfort is as solid as a real wood flooring.

Furthermore, property owners could enjoy the luxury and style of wood flooring at their homes and commercial properties at a smaller fraction of the costs if it were to invest in real wood flooring. This therefore, make good quality high end resilient flooring as one of the popular choices especially among new and young home owners today.

100 Per cent Waterproof and Termite Proof

Good quality high end resilient flooring (HERF) is usually 100 per cent waterproof as well as termite proof. These 2 unique characteristics make the flooring highly durable for all residential and commercial applications. These make HERF a strong subsititute to traditional laminate flooring and wood parquet which are not highly resistant to water and termites. Thus, HERF could be installed in high moist conditions areas such as the wet kitchen, the dry bathroom areas, the basement as well as in landed homes with high termites infestation history.

The waterproof feature of HERF also make it one of the easiest to maintain type of flooring options today. This gives busy working home owners today a rather soothing peace of mind.

Healthy to be used Indoors or in Enclosed Areas

One important tip to take note when purchasing high end resilient flooring or similar resilient flooring products is the home owner needs to ask the flooring contractor for relevant health standards of the resilient flooring products.

Good quality high end resilient flooring products need to have 3 important health standards criteria; firstly, it must pass the SVHC test. (Substance of Very High Concern); secondly, it must have EN standard for low in formaldehyde emission. (E1 standard or below); lastly, the resilient flooring need to be low in VOCs and other harmful contents. Look for certification and green marks of the flooring products to show that the flooring is safe for indoor home usage. One example will be the german standard,  "U" mark, from Deutsches Institut für Bautechnik (DiBt).

Such health accreditation will assure that flooring product is safe to use especially in enclosed areas; flooring products that do not have these credible green labels, whether it is high end resilient flooring, vinyl flooring, wood or laminate flooring, should strictly not be recommended for indoor usage.

Environmentally Friendly

Home owners could also reuse the existing high end resilient flooring should they want to 'recycle' that for the new homes.

In this way, home owners could exercise a good renewal habit for the environment while at the same time save money in terms of maintenance and new flooring investment in the long run.

In summary,

With its wide array of benefits to the modern home owners as well as the environment, the trend and demand for good quality high end resilient flooring will keep rising as a result.
