46 days left to SNIC: Singapore no 3 on innovation index

Singapore leaps into third place in annual Bloomberg Innovation index. This impresses experienced business leader Håkon Bruaset Kjøl.

The annual Bloomberg Innovation Index analyzes dozens of criteria using seven metrics, including research and development spending, manufacturing capability and concentration of high-tech public companies.

Singapore rises from 6th place last year to 3rd place on this year’s index.

Håkon Bruaset Kjøl is presently Chief Strategy & Transformation Officer at DTAC and has held several prominent positions in Telenor Asia. He has been observing the noticeable changes in Singapore over the last 20 years.

- While in the past Singapore was an investment destination of choice due to strong legal and financial systems - today creativity, talent and access to venture capital are equally important criteria to establish new businesses here, says Kjøl.

NBAS hosts Singapore Norway Innovation Conference (SNIC) in partnership with the Norwegian Embassy and Innovation Norway in Singapore 5 March this year.

Through top notch keynotes and panel discussions, we aim to show the vast opportunities and challenges provided by digital transformation, with a specific focus on the maritime, fintech and health sectors.
