Gentle Reminder: 3 September NBAS Luncheon Talk: DNO - The Norwegian oil industry going forward

The Norwegian oil history has been an adventure since the discovery of Ekofisk in 1969. With an increasing world population demanding access to energy, and less and less of the major oil discoveries, where are the industry heading? What does this mean for the oil service companies and suppliers - the oil business?

Det norske oljesleskap ASA (Det norske) is a new and upcoming player at the Norwegian Continental Shelf, lucky to be owner in the Johan Sverdrup field, one of the largest discoveries in Norway since 1969.

Tonje Foss will give a short presentation of Det norske and the Ivar Aasen project, how they see the industry today and the challenging future that are ahead of us.

Tonje Foss has 15 years of experience from the Norwegian oil industry in contract & procurement related positions. She started her career at Kværner Rosenberg Verft in Stavanger, and then spent a couple of years in Schlumberger before she went back to her hometown Trondheim. In 2003, she joined the oil company Pertra, former Det norske oljeselskap ASA. Previous she was Head of Contract, Procurement and Logistics in Trondheim before she in 2013 took the position as Contract & Procurement Manager Ivar Aasen Project – Topside.  She holds an MSc in Petroleum Economy from University of Stavanger.
