Gentle reminder: FutureBoards Cross-Border Dialogue

There is a growing, universal acceptance that both men and women should contribute equally to corporate governance – in line with an increasing body of research confirming that more balanced boards make more balanced decisions. Therefore, the discussion is moving from WHY women should be board directors, to HOW to achieve a reasonable gender balance on corporate boards.

One way of moving this discussion forward is to exchange ideas and share experiences – in a cross-border dialogue. We therefore kindly request your attendance, together with a carefully selected group of Singaporean and Norwegian business owners; board chairs and members; corporate CEOs; representatives from government; relevant organizations; and potential female board member candidates at “FutureBoards Cross-Border Dialogue” on 13 March 2019 from 12:00pm – 2:30pm at The Tanglin Club.

The event aims to explore ways of achieving the Diversity Action Committee’s recommendation of a 20 per cent share of board seats for women within the largest 100 SGX-listed companies by 2020. For more information, read the DAC’s report here.

The event will be hosted by the Royal Norwegian Embassy, Singapore, and will be organised by FutureBoards in collaboration with the Norwegian Business Association of Singapore (NBAS), Singapore Institute of Directors, BoardAgender and the Malaysian Alliance of Corporate Directors.
