SGC Business Luncheon on "The Need for a Long-term Perspective in an Ever-Changing World" with Ms Annika Falkengren, President & CEO, Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken (SEB)

About the Speaker:

Ms Annika Falkengren is the President and Group Chief Executive of Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken (SEB), a Nordic financial services group since 2005. She leads a team of approximately 16,000 employees who serve more than 2,900 large corporate and institutional customers, 400,000 small and medium sized enterprises and four million private individuals.

In Sweden and the Baltic countries, SEB offers universal banking services. In Denmark, Finland, Norway and Germany the bank has a strong focus on corporate and investment banking, based on a full-service offering to corporate and institutional clients. The international nature of SEB's business is reflected in its presence in some 20 countries worldwide.

In 2012, Ms Falkengren was named European Banker of the Year by the Group 20+1, a group of 20 leading financial journalists. In 2014, she was named Fortune Magazine’s fourth most powerful woman in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Ms Falkengren is member of the Supervisory Board of Volkswagen AG and a Board Member of Securitas AB. She is also the chairman of the Swedish Bankers’ Association. In addition, Ms Falkengren serves on the Board of the non-profit organization Mentor Sweden, an organization working proactively against drug abuse among teenagers.
