Atos wins multiple agency GovNext Cloud deals

Office of the Inspector of Custodial Services and Mental Health Commission have both appointed Atos in Australia to help transition their workloads and infrastructure to the Atos GovNext-ICT private cloud service. These appointments present strong early successes in their GovNext-ICT common use arrangement (CUA) contract.

Both the agencies have identified the Atos Cloud solution as meeting their immediate needs and are therefore preparing for a full transition of their infrastructure environments, physical and virtual into the Atos Cloud with the aim to increase efficiency, agility and reliability.

The Atos Cloud is to be housed in 2 tier 3 data centres, NextDC and Metronode in Perth’s metropolitan area. Data connectivity for both the agencies is being supplied by Atos consortium member Vocus.

The projects are expected to complete by early September 2017.
