Launch of 'Dru(musical)' by Green Drumming!
Have you ever experienced making rhythm with recycled materials?
Green Drumming by BEAT'ABOX presents a 6-episode integrated music performance that combines the concepts of home-based green drumming and other musical elements. Green drumming is a form of recycled percussion that creates music out of recycled materials, including everyday items found at home such as plastic dispenser bottles, trash bins and things beyond your imagination!
Viewers will be introduced to different recycled drums and spontaneous demonstration by Host and Lead Artist, Arthur Choo followed up with a mash-up of musical-like performances alongside different guest artists such as Jack and Rai, Ana Erica, Benjamin Yeo and Tyan in each episode.
Supported by the National Arts Council (NAC), this performance is conceptualised to engage viewers with digital music experiences while providing local artists with more platforms to showcase their talents amidst covid-19 regulations.
Dru(musical) is a way we inspire that rhythm can be made everywhere, for everyone. We can all unleash the rhythm in us and take on a new perspective of life.
