Gentle reminder: NBIM and the Norwegian oil fund 29 January
Norges Bank Investment Management (NBIM) works to safeguard and build financial wealth for future generations by managing the Government Pension Fund Global (the Fund). The current markets value of the Fund is per 03.01.2019, 8305 billion NOK and it is actually owned by the Norwegian people.
Some interesting facts are that the Fund has invested in:

- 9,146 companies
- 1.4% of listed companies worldwide
- 2.4% of listed companies in Europe
One day the oil will run out, but the return on the Fund will continue to benefit the Norwegian population.
We are pleased to welcome you to a seminar on how the Fund is managed, with focus on their activities in Asia.
The presentation will be held by Sigmund Kyrdalen. Mr Kyrdalen is currently Global Head of Special Mandates and Head of the Singapore Office. He joined NBIM in 2003, and before taking up his current role he was a Senior Portfolio Manager investing in the Consumer sector. Prior to joining NBIM, Sigmund was an equity analyst at Citigroup and has previously worked as a consultant at Accenture and with ship financing at Nordea.
