Norway Maritime Conference: 28-29 January 2016 in Cebu, Philippines

The Royal Norwegian Embassy in Manila, Norwegian Maritime Foundation of the Philippines and Philippines Norway Business Council are organizing Norway Maritime Conference on 28-29 January 2016 in Cebu, Philippines.

Norway Maritime Conference aims to connect the industry leaders in Norway and the Philippines, to learn from best practices and devise solutions and strategies to overcome the increasingly complex maritime challenges, particularly in the areas of

  • Maritime Human Resources
  • Competence Development and Performance
  • Environment
  • Innovation
  • Safety at Sea
  • Corruption and Bribery in Port

The conference, aside from providing a forum to exchange knowledge and experiences, will ensure that governments or regulators, ship owners, manning agencies, maritime training professionals, educational institutions, or other interest groups, will develop new ideas and learn about the expectations of the maritime industry as a whole.

Our moderator for the event is Ms. Nisha Pillai, a journalist and previous news anchor with BBC. Ms. Pillai has hosted several large conferences, among others the last Norway-Asia Business Summit, and we are certain she will once again be able to create good discussions. The idea is to create a up close and personal kind of approach between the speakers and the audience.

We have launched the website at http://www.norwaymaritime.ph/, and the program as of today can be found there, along with other details. We are pleased to have so many valuable contributors to the conference, and hope you will likewise be interested in joining.

Thank you.

Very best,

Jannicke Steen
