Earthquake-affected children require support to cope with distress, Save the Children says
Save the Children has begun responding to the needs of children affected in the Sichuan earthquake, providing a host of relief goods and services to help them regain a sense of normalcy. Already, the children’s aid agency has distributed immediate relief to nearly 900 people including 200 children in villages in Sichuan province.

A 7.0 magnitude earthquake rocked the Sichuan province of China on Saturday morning, in a location close to the devastating quake in 2008 that killed nearly 70,000 people and left 4.8 million people homeless. The earthquake was felt by hundreds of millions of people and initial reports say up to seven million people could be affected in the earthquake.
