Safety is about the commitment to doing the right things to protect people, families and communities whether they are in public, on the roads, at work or simply going about their daily lives at home. According to 2017 UL Safety Index, Vietnam’s Safety Index score is 66 (on a scale of 0-100) and ranks fifth among the 11 countries in Southeast Asia.

Điều này đánh dấu một sự cải thiện cho Việt Nam với việc tăng 4 điểm so với 62 điểm vào năm ngoái.

Using data, we are able to evaluate what's working and make improvements. UL Safety Index, using data science and algorithms to aggregate data, provides critical data to assist in decision-making and spark critical conversations between key stakeholders. The index is a tool for policy makers and stakeholders to identify areas for improvements, make targeted and incremental safety improvements.

Chỉ số này là một công cụ cho các nhà hoạch định chính sách và các bên liên quan để xác định các khu vực cải tiến, thực hiện các cải tiến an toàn được nhắm mục tiêu và gia tăng.
UL Safety Index highlights road safety as an area of prioritization for Vietnam. The country ranked 153 of 187 countries globally in road safety and eighth out of 11 countries in Southeast Asia. Every day, 61 lives are lost on Vietnam’s roads and there is massive financial impact related to traffic injuries and fatalities. Concerted efforts are required to boost traffic safety in Vietnam.
