Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair, February 7-11, 2017 invites the visitor to enter the Hayon DNA Gallery, a unique structure designed by this year´s Guest of Honour – the Spanish artist and designer Jaime Hayon. The installation is characterized with his typical blend of fantasy, whimsy and craftsmanship
Greenhouse, Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair’s hall for young and unestablished designers, is a stepping stone for many of tomorrow’s design stars.The jury has now selected who will exhibit in 2017, including names such as Lies-Marie Hoffmann, Frag Woodall, Studio Føy and yuue design. In total, 31 designers or design teams and 31 design colleges from 18 countries will be taking part.
Wooden architecture is becoming a new Swedish export item. At Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair, February 7-11, 2017, the exhibition Welcome to Woodland will present a wide range of innovative contemporary wooden architecture and discuss the different aspects of wooden architecture and design.
For Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair 2017, the design studio Form Us With Love was commissioned to design a concept for the strategic development of Greenhouse, the fair’s hall for independent, unestablished designers. Together with students from Berghs School of Communication, they developed an activity that involves a one-year mentorship program.
“Contrasts” is the underlying theme for and name of Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair’s Trend Exhibition 2017/18, which has been created by stylist Lotta Agaton. The exhibition will offer contrasts in materials and furniture as well as surprising combinations.
Spanish artist and designer Jaime Hayon, known for his playful expression and versatile production, has been given the assignment to create an exhibition in Stockholmsmässan’s Entrance Hall. This is the 14th time the Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair is inviting a well-respected international designer to create an installation.
February 9–13 are the dates for this year’s Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair, the world's largest meeting place for Scandinavian design. During the five days, the furniture and lighting industry will gather at Stockholmsmässan to meet and see the latest innovations for the home and public spaces.
Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair's own forum for knowledge and discussions in the area of design and architecture - Stockholm Design Talks - presents several well-respected firms and lecturers to talk about architecture in Scandinavia and the world. Participants include Jenny B. Osuldsen from Norwegian architecture firm Snøhetta and Shohei Shigematsu from OMA in New York.

An elephant in a china shop? No – just heavy industrial robots in a landscape of glass. As part of Stockholm Design Week 4-10 February 2013, Glass Elephant, a design installation in the borderland between industrial design, craftsmanship and performance, is on show in the Museum of Far Eastern Antiquities’ Skeppsholmen Caverns.
In Greenhouse, Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair's hall for independent designers and design schools, visitors will encounter fashion and design as part of a Fusion Walk, which serves as both an installation and a catwalk for fashion shows.
