Design studio Doshi Levien is Guest of Honour 2020
As this year’s Guest of Honour the London-based studio Doshi Levien has been commissioned to create an installation for Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair in February. Run by Nipa Doshi and Jonathan Levien, the studio has an international reputation for combining culture, technology, industrial design and true craftsmanship.

Ceramic tiles - an inspiring challenge for Swedish architecture students
A recurring and appreciated feature of Nordbygg is the materials challenge New Eyes on ceramic tiles. It is a competition directed to Swedish architecture students and where the winning contribution is realised in full scale at Nordbygg.

GastroSummit presents exciting competitions and a unique vegan study
More vegan food in schools! This is what food blogger Gustav “Jävligt Gott” Johansson is hoping for. That is why he arranged a study together with GastroSummit where more than 4,000 school children will be given the opportunity to try vegan food. Two large national competitions will also be held during GastroSummit: Junior Culinary Championships and Culinary Championships.

Congratulations to Kasper Friis Kjeldgaard – winner of Formex Nova 2019!
This year’s Formex Nova winner is Danish designer and artist Kasper Friis Kjeldgaard. In its motivation, the jury highlights Kasper’s sensual proximity to his materials and his unique feel for details and material transitions.

All nominees for the Formex Nova Award 2019
The presentation of the Formex Nova Award is as usual one of the highlights during the Formex fall exhibition – it will take place on the first exhibition day August 20. Formex has established the Formex Nova Award – Nordic Designer of the Year, to promote high-quality Nordic design created by a still relatively unknown designer working in the Nordic interior design industry.
