    The jury-assessed award, Formex Formidable 2017, goes to Iris Hantverk for its broom for outdoor use. The designer is Lovisa Wattman. The honorary ‘People’s Choice’ award, which is determined by the public, goes to Eldblås for its double woven wool throw designed by Karin Kloth.

    Formex, which will be held January 17-20, is the kick-off for the spring season in the interior design industry. Visitors can listen to many interesting speakers, such as one of the world’s leading trend forecasters, Li Edelkoort, and lifestyle trend expert and researcher Mads Arlien-Søborg. This year’s Formex Formidable design award will be presented at Wednesday’s press breakfast.

    Update from Greenhouse

    For Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair 2018, Greenhouse, the fair’s forum for unestablished designers, is moving to a new, larger area. Designer Nick Ross was given the assignment to create an exhibition and a café for the new Greenhouse area. A new addition to the 2018 fair is also the award, “Best Performance - Selected by the Greenhouse Jury”.

    Meet the future of design at Greenhouse

    The jury is in! Our judges have finally selected the exhibitors for Greenhouse, the Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair’s hall for unestablished designers. The Whole Elements, TIEL, Studio Mutant, Anton Karlsson and Ryu Kozeki are among the selected exhibitors. In total, 39 designers or design teams and 27 design schools from 17 countries will be participating.

    The Formex interior design fair, which will be held January 17-20, 2018, has given designer and exhibition architect Synnöve Mork the assignment to design an exhibition in Stockholmsmässan’s entrance hall that inspires and educates. The exhibition will be a collaboration between several artists, each of whom will present their own interpretation.
