HVAC&R systems with natural air as a refrigerant

MIRAI INTEX will be announcing a new generation of HVAC&R equipment at Chillventa 2016 in Nuremberg, Germany. Using MIRAI INTEX air cycle refrigeration technology reduces health hazards for humans, saves energy and minimizes harm to the environment. All the units operate with natural air as a working fluid instead of harmful Freon gases.

The flagship model ‘MIRAI Cold’ refrigerating machine is designed to provide and maintain ultra-low temperatures (from -40°С to -80°С) in cold rooms of any configuration, while operating with fewer costs and minimal ecological impact.

The key feature of the technology is that the turbo expander is located on the same shaft as the turbo compressor. Energy produced during the expansion process is shared by the compressor, thus significantly reducing energy consumption.

The other innovative machine which will be showcased at Chillventa 2016 is ‘MIRAI Climate’ – the air cycle climate control system. It is a fully automatic unit with air conditioning, heating and ventilating modes.

‘MIRAI Climate’ is safer and more cost efficient in operation and maintenance, and presents a viable alternative to conventional systems. Constant supply of 100% fresh air and using natural air as a working fluid make ‘MIRAI Climate’ the most ecological and cost-effective solution on the HVAC equipment market.
