ScandAsia opens up its event calendar

ScandAsia - the Scandinavian news portal for residents from Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finlinad living in Asia - has opened up for public participation in maintaining its comprehensive calendar where all Scandinavians can check in one view what is going on in each their community and across the region.

At the top of each calendar page, there appears a green selection bar, where any visitor can submit details of an individual event they would like to be included in the calendar. For many organisations, it will be easier to submit a link to their calendar if it is available as an .ics link. This is a common format for many calendars like for instance Google calendar. From there on, all updates of their calendar will automatically within an hour also be reflected on ScandAsia.

All submissions are subject to review by Gregers Moller, Editor-in-Chief of ScandAsia, prior to publication, but authorization can be issued to individuals from participating associations which makes it possible for them to post directly without waiting for editorial approval.

The changes are implemented as per 1 May. As a consequence, many events in the first few weeks of May do not yet appear on the calendar. Visitors are instead urged to visit the page “Local Contacts” for the country of their residence, and check the websites of the organisations listed there.
