Wedding’s,Imagine in Colour?

Dajana Basic might be new to designing, but her stylist credentials shine through in her first collection!

Wedding Dress Designer Dajana Basic launched her colorful wedding dresses collection in London this week.

“This collection is my first collection, and its for spring/summer 2014, so I wanted to incorporate more pastel tones into the collection”

Dajana was speaking at her first Catwalk showcase of her work, in Blackhall Studio’s-East London

The collection Saw 8 dresses, which incorporated colour in a various ways. Such as miniature blue pearls on a white bust. Pink petticoats with layers of white material overlay.

Dajana, Polish born and brought up in Germany, showed a flare for drawing from a young age

“I would draw princess dresses all the time”

Asked where her inspiration came from, Dajana said “My mother was married in Italy in the 80’s,and when I saw pictures of her dress, it was very colourful, rather than the normal traditional white”

Dajana’s inspiration doesn't end there, “When I was a stylist I had two ladies come to me who were about to become brides, they both were looking for something a little different. When I looked, there really wasn’t anything out there with any colour in which was priced affordably”

The dresses range from £900-£1900

More Colourful Plans

Dajana says “For Autumn/Winter I plan to use more earthly tones into my dresses”
