Stolen Van Recovered 150 Miles Away With GPS Tracker

Norfolk based rental company, Barford Van Hire and Sales, recently suffered from the theft of one of their hire vehicles but were able to recover it rapidly thanks to having a GPS tracker installed.

Barford Hire had heard through the hire industry grapevine that there has been an increase in reports of local stolen vehicles, therefore decided to implement the ABAX Vehicle Tracking system and help secure their fleet.

Barford recently found out the importance of a tracking system when they had one of their Mercedes Sprinter Luton’s stolen during the night in Norwich. Thanks to the ABAX tracker installed, they were able to quickly recover the vehicle 150 miles away in Kent.

Robbie Dunderdale, Rental Assistant said: “We were able to track the vehicle in real time and relay the position to the Police control room over the phone, which was absolutely brilliant.
