ABAX and Hitachi agree strategic international deal
Technology company ABAX has signed a deal to deliver telematics solutions to the Japanese industry giant Hitachi.
The partnership means that ABAX' solutions will be included in several of Hitachi's machinery to help owners access operational data on their machines. This data enables them to increase productivity, enhance efficiency, maximise availability and reduce their running costs.
ABAX CEO Morten Strand is excited for the value this brings to ABAX, Hitachi and their customers:
“Our market-leading platform enables us to offer new opportunities and create mutual benefits for Hitachi, its dealers and customers. Hitachi is one of the market leaders in the construction equipment industry, and we are looking forward to a long-term partnership that will bring new developments and great opportunities going forward".
Already a leading service provider within the construction industry, ABAX view this partnership as another avenue to bring real value to their customers. Paul Walsh, ABAX CTO, elaborates:
“As our Open Platform extends to include further machinery manufacturers, we will continue to focus on bringing even more value to both dealers & end users in the construction equipment industry”.
The software is available for all current Hitachi mini and compact machinery. It can also be retrofitted to previous generation models by the authorised Hitachi European dealer network.
Tom van Wijlandt, Manager Business Development at Hitachi Construction Machinery Europe, commented:
“Now the full range of Hitachi excavators is available with our unique remote monitoring system. As long as it has a Hitachi serial number, then it can be found on Global e-Service. We’re looking forward to expanding our offering and working with ABAX in the future”.
