Last chance to win free consultancy from ÅF’s lighting team!

2015 has been proclaimed as the International Year of Light by the UN. ÅF’s contribution to the initiative, the Lighting Makeover competition, closes 1 May.

The International Year of Light 2015 offers a tremendous opportunity to raise global awareness about the importance of lighting and how light-based technologies and designs provide sustainable solutions to global challenges.

To support UN’s efforts, ÅF has organised a competition, in which the winner receives a free lighting makeover. The competition is open to all public authorities, associations, organisations, owners and operators of a publically accessible location. Municipalities, housing associations, private as well as public developers and owners of buildings can participate.

The competition closes Friday 1 May

Your final chance to participate is this week, as the competition closes on Friday 1 May by close of business. You take part by simply nominating a publically accessible location for a lighting makeover. It might be somewhere where people feel unsafe, or a location which might become more attractive and inviting with a new lighting design. The winning applicant receives a free customized lighting design proposal developed by ÅF’s lighting team.

The competition is part of L-RO’s official activities programme. L-RO has been recognized as an Official Partner of the United Nations International Year of Light 2015 under the patronage of UNESCO.
