Amanda Waring; Celebrating our Dignity Champions

As dignity campaigner, speaker and filmmaker and member of the board of the National Dignity Council, I was so gladdened to read Lord Toby Harris' blog, a rallying cry and endorsement for others to become dignity champions like him and shift society into a more understanding compassionate and educated society where respect and tolerance underpins basic human rights.

February 1st, this Wednesday, is Dignity Action Day.  It’s also the day that day my new book ‘The Heart Of Care’ is launched on Waterstones’ website; a valuable tool to help others to learn how to restore and maintain the dignity of those in care.

On Dignity Action Day, my dignity awareness raising film ‘What Do you see?’ will be seen by hundreds across the UK, as a focal point and a powerful reminder to see the person inside, no matter what age, race or disability.
