Balustradedesign launches Alu Flex, a height-adjustable glass balustrade for outdoor living

Balustradedesign is launching Alu Flex — a height-adjustable glass balustrade that combines functionality, design and flexibility in an entirely new way. With the ability to raise and lower the upper glass panel with ease, users can adapt their outdoor space to changing weather conditions whenever needed.

When a cold wind picks up, the glass panel can be raised to create a more sheltered area. When the sun is out, it can be lowered to preserve open views and a pleasant breeze. Alu Flex makes it possible to enjoy terraces, balconies and patios on more days throughout the year.

The balustrade is built around a robust counterweight system, making the raising and lowering motion smooth and easy — even for children. The height can also be adjusted continuously to suit different needs and preferences.

Customers have a wide range of options in the digital design tool, including:

• posts in natural aluminium, white, black or any RAL colour

• several height ranges (800–2100 mm) with different raising and lowering positions

• maximum widths of up to 2200 mm, depending on wind load and installation height

The balustrade can be visualised in both technical drawings and 3D before an order is placed, making the planning process simple and reassuring. All installation accessories are included, together with measuring templates and step-by-step installation videos.
