Develop:Brighton 2023 Announces Keynote Fireside Chat with ID@Xbox Senior Director Chris Charla

Thursday 18 May, 2023: Tandem Events has announced that ID@Xbox Senior Director Chris Charla will deliver the opening keynote session on Tuesday 11 July at Develop:Brighton 2023.

In this fireside chat, Chris Charla will discuss what makes indie games so exciting, and how ID@Xbox can support developers to keep creating new content.

“I’m stoked to deliver the opening keynote at Develop:Brighton! This is such an amazing event and a great opportunity to connect with some of the best creators from across the game dev community”, said Charla.

“With ID@Xbox’s mission to empower game creators of all sizes and from all over the world, I’m excited to head to Brighton this summer to share what we’ve learned with the ID@Xbox program celebrating its 10th year of helping independent developers find new audiences.”

Recent ID@Xbox supported games include 2023 BAFTA Games Awards Best Game winner Vampire Survivors, and critically acclaimed hit Immortality.

This year’s headline keynote session, taking place on Wednesday 12 July, will be a fireside chat featuring the studio leads from Guerrilla, discussing the challenges the team faced during the development of Horizon Forbidden West.

And, Develop:Brighton’s Thursday keynote will see inkle Narrative Director Jon Ingold deliver a fascinating talk on narrative design.

Develop:Brighton 2023 takes place Tuesday 11 July until Thursday 13 July at the Hilton Brighton Metropole, with a range of passes available now for the conference and expo.

Passes are available at our discounted Early Bird rate until Thursday 8 June and can be booked at www.developconference.com.

On Wednesday 12 July, during Develop:Brighton, the best and brightest of the game developer community will gather to celebrate at The Develop:Star Awards.
