Hiro Capital Levels Up by Adding Free-To-Play and Games-as-a-Service Guru Nicholas Lovell to the Team

Founder of Gamesbrief.com to provide specialist knowledge and insights on investments

Hiro Capital, the entrepreneur-led Games Venture Capital fund, is expanding its team, announcing industry veteran and deep monetisation expert Nicholas Lovell who has joined in the role of Venture Specialist, Free to Play Games. Nicholas is the founder of Gamesbrief, a website dedicated to the business of games, and a successful author of multiple books on game design and monetisation, including The Curve, aimed at a general audience, and The Pyramid of Game Design, aimed at game developers.

Following a career financing media and technology companies in the City of London, Nicholas switched to game design in 2008 when he launched gamesbrief.com. Operationally, he led development teams at Electric Square as Game Director on an unannounced project and Hot Wheels id and as Design Director on Forza Street. He has advised a range of developers including Firefly Studios (Stronghold Kingdoms), CCP (Eve Online), Bohemia Interactive (Vigor) and many others.
