MY.GAMES Titles Bolster Revenue in Q3 to $119 million

Success of mobile and console titles sees revenue increase by 26.8%

MOSCOW, October 24, 2019 - MY.GAMES has announced today a revenue increase of 26.8% year-on-year in the third quarter of 2019, reaching $119 million (RUB 7.7 billion). The increase was generated by the continued success of MY.GAMES free-to-play titles on PC, consoles and, in particular, mobile. Mobile games earnings remain the biggest growth driver, now accounting for 62% of total revenues.

The strongest performing titles include Hustle Castle, which surpassed 50 million downloads year-to-date, as well as other popular games like Left to Survive and Love Sick: Interactive Stories. With the launch of a new monetization system, War Robots, an action mobile game, also saw its revenue grow and surpassed 133 million lifetime downloads.

Earnings were also driven by free-to-play shooter Warface, one of MY.GAMES most popular titles which is now in its seventh year of operation. The international audience for Warface continues to grow, with the game becoming one of the top 10 F2P downloads in the US in Q3.

“We had a strong third quarter for MY.GAMES in 2019 and are delighted with our progress worldwide,” said MY.GAMES CEO Vasiliy Maguryan. “Our games are now being played in more than 190 countries, with the US, Germany and Japan becoming our largest markets outside Russia. We are looking forward to a strong Q4, marking the end to a fantastic year for MY.GAMES.”

In Q4, the MY.GAMES is planning the launch of the MY.GAMES Store, first announced at Gamescom, and the release of PC title Lost Ark in Russia and CIS. On Tuesday MY.GAMES launched American Dad! Apocalypse Soon, a strategy mobile game developed in-house by Fast Forward Studio in partnership with FoxNext. The partnership between MY.GAMES and iDreamSky, announced in Q3, will also see localised distribution of MY.GAMES titles in China.

“We expect this positive trend to continue into Q4 and beyond. Our new releases and future projects reflect our ambitions to be global players. By 2022 the goal is to draw 80% of our revenue from international markets,” Vasiliy Maguryan concluded.
