Can anyone beat Britain's Mark Cavendish to the finish line in Stage three of the Tour de France?

Stage three of the Tour de France gets underway this afternoon and it sees the Sprinters first chance of getting a stage win under their belts. The 198km course from Olonne-sur-Mer to Redon takes the riders north along the Vendee coastline towards a finish which is tailor made for a sprint finish. Can anyone beat sprint king Mark Cavendish to the finish line?

With the first bunch sprint of this year’s Tour likely, Cavendish, who has 15 Tour de France stage wins under his belt, is outright favourite in the market at 1,72 with Betclic.

The HTC Highroad rider is well fancied to pick up his first stage win this year but he will face some strong competition from his sprint rivals in the peloton.

Current yellow jersey holder Thor Hushovd will be one of the Manx Missile’s primary challengers and also has the added incentive of holding onto the coveted jersey going into stage 4. The Norwegian is highly priced at 25,00 with Betclic.

Other standout prices include last year’s green jersey winner Alessandro Petacchi at 9,00 and American Tyler Farrar at 6,50.
