BIMobject and ByggfaktaDOCU signs cooperation agreement!
Stefan Larsson CEO at BIMobject AB and Pär Fack, CEO at DOCU i Sverige AB today signed a cooperation agreement regarding collaboration within the framework of objects and technology around BIM objects. The two companies are leading in their respective fields and with this new collaboration all users of BIM software in Sweden will have easier access to thousands of objects for their BIM model and BIM process.
BIM stands for ”Building Information Model” and it is winning ground fast within the AEC area, especially in Scandinavia. There are a large demand from the users to have real manufacturer content (BIM objects) available to be able to create more information rich BIM models that better supports the design, construction and simulation process with BIM.
A BIM object is an information container that holds information like measures, configurations, material, classes, properties and also 2D and 3D information for the BIM software (Next generation 3D CAD). The cooperation between DOCU group and BIMobject will increase the visibility for the manufacturers objects and simplify the the way Architects and engineers can find the BIM objects and download them to their favorite BIM system.
