BIMobject® maintains impressive growth with launch of UK operation
Less than 18 months after initial launch BIMobject® AB, from Sweden, today announced the formation of a subsidiary – BIMobject UK Ltd – to address the needs of the UK construction market.
Through its cloud based portal BIMobject provides the development, maintenance and syndication of digital replicas – as BIM objects – of manufactured building and interior products. These objects are available from the BIMobject portal, at no charge, to architects, designers and specifiers and are available in native format for a number of the model authoring tools including ArchiCAD®, Revit®, SketchUp and also AutoCAD®. Other formats are also available.
A recent winner of a Red Herring Top 100 Award, which recognises Europe’s most promising start-up companies for their innovations and technologies, BIMobject has quickly become the leading source worldwide for BIM objects. With a reputation for technical innovation and quality of delivery BIMobject has been assessing the UK market for some time and, encouraged by the Government’s support of BIM adoption, it believes the conditions are now right for market entry.
